EMERGENCY FOOD BAG
DayBreak's Emergency Food Bag Operation was established in early April of 2020 after the Coronavirus Pandemic spread rapidly through Alameda County in Mid March. The Emergency Food Bag Operation is addressing a pressing need to assist elders with getting nutritious foods while staying at home to avoid becoming victims of the deadly virus. The Emergency Food Bag Operation began distributing weekly food bags to seniors age 60 and older, who suffered from food insecurity. Our program accepted referrals from various community partners, and today we serve over 100 seniors on a weekly basis.
